Description

PURPOSE:


Develop relationships and implement a strategy with existing and potential donors that will increase financial support and resources, engage current constituents and cultivate potential donors in support of the ministry.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop stewardshipfocused relationships with a portfolio of individuals, churches, New donors, and foundations to engage support for the ministry.
  • Develop and implement a donor strategy for your assigned area, working with others as appropriate.
  • Strengthen and expand the financial support, including major gifts, from assigned individuals, churches and foundations.
  • Represent the agency at churches, classis meetings, and other community events, as needed.
  • Significant travel within assigned regions for inperson visits, relationship building, donor appreciation and fundraising events.
  • Maintain accurate records in appropriate database(s) (e.g. constituent interactions) which support the development of donor relationships
  • Track expenses and maintain regular expense reports.
  • Assist with prospect research and/or proposal writing, as assigned.
  • Work with colleagues to develop best practices within the Reframe ministries advancement department.
  • Stay current and maintain best practices through ongoing professional development.
  • Weekly objective to recruit volunteers and manage at least quarterly volunteer resources/ committee meetings.
  • Marketing Reframe products using social media and all other resources
  • Establish and maintain an active thanking process within the CRCNA. This may consist of individual calls or notes from advancement or in coordination with ministry staff and leadership.
  • Manage and maintain a donor portfolio of individuals and churches.
  • Qualify, cultivate and lift midlevel donors to major donor status.
  • Assist in promoting the benefits and opportunities offered by the planned giving program (e.g. personal contacts, phone, planned giving brochures, inhouse advertisements and publicity, and special events).
  • Work with the Director of Advancement and the leadership of Reframe Ministries to establish realistic fundraising goals, monthly and yearly strategic planning activities and development initiatives that support the sustainability of the ministries.
  • Foster teamwork with other advancement and ministry staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support staff as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA.
  • Demonstrated ability to encourage and inspire individuals to support ministry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to be selfmotivated, work independently with mínimal direction and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with coworkers and external contacts.
  • Proven ability to plan and organize tasks and responsibilities including multitasking, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, in a related field such as business, marketing & communications or non profit management and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and success in fundraising and/or branding and marketing experience.

Pay:
$40.60 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
