    About the Hotel:

    The award-winning Graystone Lodge is a 101-room boutique hotel located in Boone, NC that captures the spirit of the High Country in a warm, welcoming ambiance of a mountain lodge with an enhanced modern design and upscale amenities. Our mission is to provide a casually elegant yet comfortable getaway, genuine hospitality, and personalized service so our guests can relax, unwind, and enjoy our charming mountain town. The hotel is situated perfectly in the heart of the stunning Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina and conveniently located less than two miles from downtown Boone and Appalachian State University, only a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad and near skiing, tubing, ziplining and more. The Graystone Lodge was voted the best of the best hotels in Boone in 2023.

    About the Position:

    General Manager of the Graystone Lodge, Ascend Hotel Collection of Boone, North Carolina

    The ideal candidate will have the capability to maintain the highest level of customer service, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. This individual will provide day-to-day leadership and direction, maximize financial returns, drive development of people, create and maintain a unique guest experience, develop, and implement effective sales & marketing strategies, execute brand standards, build strong relationships in the local community, and increase awareness of the hotel in the High Country.

    Job Requirements:

    -All candidates must have a minimum of five years' experience in hotel operations

    -A self-starter with proven supervisory experience in the hotel industry

    -Flexibility to work a variety of schedules and hours as business dictates

    -Energetic with excellent customer service skills

    -Ability to develop team member to their fullest potential

    -Ability to multi-task and problem solve with a positive attitude

    -Courtyard and Marriott hotel experience is a plus

    -Be able to analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximize market share
