    Job DescriptionIntermountain Electronics, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer at our South Point, OH facility.

    IE is a leading provider of custom engineered and manufactured process and electrical systems to the renewable energy sector, oil & gas, mining and power/utility industries in North America.

    IE's turnkey products are generally mobile - mounted on skids or in portable e-houses.

    Our products include portable power/generators, substations, electrical control rooms (MCCs/VFDs/switchgear), water-flood/disposal buildings, compressor skids, metering equipment, mining power skids, battery storage skids and other products used in multiple energy sectors and the data center market.

    IE has been in the South Point, OH area for going on 12 years and is one of the best kept industrial secrets in Lawrence County.

    Job Duties:


    Develop accurate, complete, and timely electrical drawings; work with customer to clarify details and obtain approvalsDevelop detailed bill of materials and provide to procurement for fulfillmentProvide guidance to mechanical engineering group on integration of electrical and mechanical design; obtain customer approval as requiredFollow standard engineering processes and timelines, including execution of Electrical Reviews (ERs), Pre-Project Reviews (PPRs) and post-project reviews where requiredMonitor manufacturing group during production phase; ensure form/fit/function meets customer specsManage project timelines and customer during build process; ensure on-time deliveryEnsure all projects meet IE quality standards plus all defined customer quality specificationsParticipates in pre-bid reviews to evaluate accuracy of the of the estimate and job layoutAnalyzes plans and project specifications and codes to determine project requirementsInterface with customers as technical expert; provide recommendations on configuration of potential projects (write specifications where possible); make joint customer visits as required to close on large/critical projectsSupport business development with customer visits to strategic customer targetsParticipates in final walk-through inspection & manages the completion of all close out documentationProvide commissioning and field support on projects as requiredRespond to emergency service calls, in and out of assigned region, as required; trouble shoot problemsWho are we looking for?Job requirements are part of the job, but just as important is who you are as a person.

    Let's talk about Engineering at IEExperience and SkillsRequirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of electrical design, project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a closely related field.

    Deep understanding of electrical distribution equipment, standards, and specificationsExperience with contract documents such as contract drawings, subcontracts, contract addendum, change orders, etc.

    Proficient with engineering software (AutoCAD, etc.) ERP systems in quote development and Microsoft softwareSignificant project / program management experienceStrong interpersonal and customer relations skillsCapable of working independently as well as in a team environmentMust be able to travel up to 10% of the time and possess a valid driver's license.
