Position Description

The Program Food Cook plays a vital role in our daily kitchen operations. Working closely with the Kitchen Manager, Lead Cook, Meals on Wheels Coordinators, Cooks, and Kitchen Stewards, this role ensures accurate meal preparation and timely service. It is a temporary position with an undetermined end date.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in catering, restaurant, school, or similar high-volume food service setting
• Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous learning
• Contribution to cultivating a positive team environment

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, package, and label dishes following provided recipes
• Adhere to portioning guidelines
• Prep ingredients for recipes
• Ensure cleanliness of main kitchen, refrigerators, and freezers with support from Kitchen Stewards
• Assist colleagues as required
• Complete all meal preparations at least two days prior to service
