    Position Description

    The Program Food Cook is an integral part of our daily kitchen service. This position will work closely with the Kitchen Manager, Lead Cook, Meals on Wheels Coordinators, Cooks, and Kitchen Stewards to ensure all meals are prepared correctly and served on time. This is a limited term employment position, with an unknown end-date.

    Requirements

    Qualifications
    • At least 2 years' experience in a catering, restaurant, school, or other high-volume food service environment
    • Open to feedback and willingness to learn
    • Ability to contribute to a positive working environment.
    Responsibilities
    • Assemble, cook, package and label recipes following specific guidelines on provided recipe
    • Portion recipes following appropriate guidelines
    • Prep ingredients
    • Maintain cleanliness of main kitchen, fridges and freezers with assistance of Kitchen Stewards
    • Help coworkers as needed
    • Complete all preparations two days in advance of service
