Responsibilities
Legal and Insurance Administration

  • Coordinate and followup on administrative matters relating to legal claims. This can be internal coordination and scheduling relating to meetings and the production of documents, compiling and organizing claim files, and general status management of open claims.
  • Track, code and analyze of bills from legal and professional firms and for insurance premiums and claims
General Accounting, Tax and Governmental Reporting

  • Work with the tax department to coordinate the submission of tax returns and the preparation of checks for the various taxing entities
  • Prepare and file various routine governmental reporting to the states and federal government
  • Responsible for reporting and depositing cash from various functions within the company
  • Maintain records for various rental property owned by the company
  • Assist with the compiling and organizing of capital project folders and any other assistance needed by the fixed asset accountant.
  • Miscellaneous Ad Hoc Office needs. Like many positions this will have busy times and less busy times and this person is expected to take the initiative to seek out ways to help out other areas of the department during slower times.
Administrative Assistant

  • The people in the department assisted by this position generally schedule their own meetings but from time to time this position will help in scheduling meetings and in addition will handle some phone duties and other normal administrative assistant duties.
  • This position manages license and titles for the various vehicles owned by the company
  • Under the guidance of the Director of Risk management this position coordinates filing and paperwork for company vehicles involved in accidents

Qualifications
Education & Experience

  • Some college or continued education
  • Office experience required depends on level of education obtained. The higher the level of education the less office experience is required
  • A variety of work and educational experiences would be a plus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Knowledge of various office systems including Word, Excel and Exchange
