    Description
    Financial Accounting Analyst

    Our national client, headquartered in Portland, Oregon, has an immediate need for an experienced Financial Accounting Analyst to support their team.

    This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience with an industry leader and would be a great fit for someone who has a quantitative mindset and a passion for numbers.

    This is a remote position requiring core Pacific Time Zone hours.
    Create work papers and perform opening balance sheet testing.
    Develop and maintain reports/dashboards to support leadership in making strategic financial and operational business decisions.
    Analyze accounting processes and systems to suggest and implement process improvements/efficiencies.
    Develop and implement internal controls for accounting processes.
    Ad-hoc analysis, reporting, tax/audit preparations, and process improvement support.
    Financial Accounting Analyst Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    At least 2 years of public accounting/external audit experience.
    Proven ability to perform opening balance sheet testing and develop work papers from scratch.
    Exposure to insurance industry and/or prior M&A experience a plus.
    Tech-savvy with the ERP systems and analytics tools.
    Ability to comfortably navigate and analyze large/complex data sets in Excel (PivotTables, LOOKUPs).
    Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
