Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE), currently serving over 4,000 people with ID/DD, mental illness & brain injury. We're seeking people experienced in working with people with developmental disabilities to join us
As a Quality Improvement & Incident Coordinator, you will support the FREE network by providing expertise and support in the areas of incident and investigatory services & regulatory guidance, conducting investigations, supporting FREE during state surveys and external audits and providing person-centered planning and reviews. You will work to increase the quality of services delivered to all people supported at FREE.
In addition, you will:
- Monitor adequacy and/or appropriateness of program participant services and for compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and policies.
- Provide expertise and consultation to the organization and its affiliates with regulatory and incidentrelated matters.
- Conduct and assist with investigations into incidents occurring within the programs as requested and maintain confidentiality in regard to such investigations.
- Ensure adequate training of staff and people receiving services in abuse & incident reporting.
- Provide onsite support and guidance during state surveys and external audits (OPWDD, OFPC, OMH, DOH, SED, and CMS).
- Provide necessary support to assigned programs during a crisis, including to: employee's shortages, natural disasters, individualrelated emergencies, weather, etc.

We require:

HS Diploma is the minimum requirement, Bachelor's Degree preferred

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in health and human services field
:

Well organized, and have excellent communication skills
:
-
Valid NYS Driver's License and satisfy criteria to be a driver
:
- Formal training and experience in performing investigations preferred.
- Experience and familiarity with state, local, federal regulations and OPWDD, OMH, DOH, OMIG and other government run entities preferred.
- Experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
