Job Summary:

The Shipper will report to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.

Education and Experience Requirements:

At least five years experience in shipping hazardous and nonhazardous materials under DOT regulations.
At least five years experience in packaging hazardous and nonhazardous liquids and pastes under DOT regulations.
Experience in packaging and shipping materials with dry ice.

Responsibilities:

Package and ship hazardous and nonhazardous liquids and pastes under all DOT regulations, both domestically and internationally, by ground and air.
Create, complete and maintain all documentation necessary to perform the Shipping function.
Review and understand product material safety data sheets 1) to determine appropriate shipping methods, packaging, labeling under federal and state regulations, and 2) to determine the accuracy of regulatory information on each MSDS.
With general supervision and direction, develop written procedures.
Be articulate and able to work collaboratively, both internally and externally.
Have a detailed, comprehensive understanding of all federal and state regulations regarding shipping, packaging, and labeling hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
Be able to work in an environment that emphasizes congeniality, creativity, flexibility, and fastpaced activities while, at the same time, ensuring that the Company operates under its financial guidelines and commitments.
