SPRING & SUSPENSION TECHNICIAN | New Bedford - MA

WOODWARD Spring is New England's leading distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, operating 3 sales outlets and 3 service centers located throughout the region.

We supply parts, truck-mounted equipment and repair service to customers across all areas of the trucking industry.

We operate a full-service spring shop, including installation and repairs to suspension, spring leafs, u-bolts, and air spring systems, as well as custom spring work.

We now have an opening for a Spring & Suspension Technician.

Responsibilities Include:
Perform installation and repair of spring and suspension parts on heavy trucks.
Complete work orders to describe work performed.
As needed, perform general repair and maintenance on heavy duty trucks.
Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and care for shop tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 (or equivalent), along with a mechanical aptitude and interest in developing as a spring and suspension specialist within the truck and transport trade.

Knowledge of spring and suspension systems and components, as well as some experience changing springs on trucks of any size would be beneficial.

Some experience performing general repairs on heavy trucks is desirable, along with basic welding experience.
This is a physically demanding position. Standing and heavy lifting are required.
This is a day shift position, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Some Saturdays and overtime is available.
