We specialize in customizing snow and ice removal equipment for heavy municipal, county, and state trucks by installing a variety of specialized equipment.

Our brand-new manufacturing and installation facility is opening in Battle Creek, Michigan (Viking-Cives Great Lakes Division). We are the fourth division in a growing corporation with locations across the United States and Canada.


Job Summary:

A CAD Administrator's role is to assist with increasing engineering's efficiency.

The job will entail checking engineering drawings to ensure drawing standards are followed, entering new items from engineering into an ERP system, nesting parts to be cut on a laser cutter, and entering parts into the Press Brakes to be bent.

A mindset of continuous improvement and outside the box thinking is important, as we constantly try to better ourselves in every aspect of what we do.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of detail drawings for all parts, weldments & assemblies.
  • Work closely with design engineers to check completed drawings prior to submitting drawings to production stream.
  • Create standards & best practices for dimensioning & tolerancing of all drawings.
  • Manage access control to drawings.
  • Oversee final steps of new product implementation into the production stream.
  • Enter new part numbers and product details into ERP system.
  • Enter product bill of materials into ERP system.
  • Work closely with both Engineering & Production departments to ensure smooth product implementation.
  • Ensure proper steps and procedures are followed when drawing revisions are necessary.
  • Maintain and oversee accurate and complete archive of past drawing revisions.
  • Develop nests for the laser cutter using a nesting software.
  • Maintain and update bend specification on the press brake computers

Qualifications:


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and determine if standards have been followed.
  • Ability to work safely in a shop environment.
  • Experience with nesting in preferred

$ $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
