Qualifications:


Knowledge & Skills

  • Good Verbal and written communication skills.

  • Adequate fine motor hand coordination required.

Minimum Qualifications,

Education & Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Less than 1 year of experience; manufacturing background preferred.

Responsibilities:


Position Summary

  • The Packaging Team Operator is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to include the packaging operation, placing boxes on skids, labeling, inspection testing and providing the proper paperwork.
  • This position requires rotation through all phases of Team Operator in the Packaging department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate the Form, Fill and Seal machine, handheld scanner, label maker and tape machine.
  • Receive, inspect, sort and pack product in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Visually inspect packing material to ensure appropriate documentation accompanies product.
  • Clean and inspect FFS machines during changeover to ensure all product has been removed and accurate packing occurs. Perform skid changeover and line clearance activities.
  • Verify that all paperwork is complete and accurate, including traceability.
  • Assist with training of new Operators.
  • Maintain 5S standards in assigned work areas.

Work Environment

  • Work involves use of manufacturing equipment or close proximity to equipment.
  • May be exposed to biohazards and/or chemicals.
  • Work environment can range from clean room and proper gowning requirements to a production area that is open, potentially noisy and with moving equipment.
  • Recurring physical demands include standing, walking, stooping, crouching, climbing, bilateral motion involving hands, wrists and upper body.
  • Concentrated visual attention to perform checks on products and components.
  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time.
