Accounting Assistant

Hoffman Estates, IL

Walker Consultants is seeking an organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join the Corporate Accounting team in our Hoffman Estates, IL office.

In this role, you will assist the Project Accountants.

The primary accounting support responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Process accounts payable invoices
Process employee expense reports for payment
Process cash receipts on a daily basis
Assisting with internal reporting of company airfare travel
Setup vendors to pay with ACH
Utilize accounting software to generate reporting as requested
Perform special projects as needed

Qualifications:

Obtained or currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Finance, or 13 years of applicable work experience
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Advanced computer skills required to learn and utilize accounting/project management software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and stay organized with multiple projects and tasks

Salary Range:
Base salary ranges from $40,000 to $50,000 annually + bonus, depending on experience. Total financial compensation resulting from a performance bonus can increase your earning potential.
