Transforming Mediterranean / Balkan grill delicacies for American foodiesWant to join an exciting team to redefine Mediterranean/Balkan grill cuisine into everyday American menu choices?
Delicacies like PLJESKAVICA (Balkan Burger) and CEVAPCICI (Balkan kabob), PIDE or LAHMADUN (Mediterranean pizza) have been around for centuries in the southeastern part of Europe.
We are looking for an innovative, charismatic young chef to lead our team in reinventing Mediterranean grill delicacies and re-conceptualizing them for an American audience.
Responsibilities:
- Be a food ambassador with customers (we have an open plan kitchen)
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Manage food service operations, including ordering supplies and maintaining inventory control
- Oversee kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations during service hours
- Coordinate catering events and ensure customer satisfaction
- Implement food safety and handling procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Utilize leadership skills to supervise and train kitchen staff
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and pricing strategies
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Balkan/Mediterranean/Middle Eastern/European cuisines
- Strong background in food preparation, food service management, and kitchen management
- Flair for flavors and recipe creation
- Proficient in cooking and food handling techniques
- Experience in catering, restaurant management, and inventory control
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively
Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour
