    Description

    Job Title: Defense Associate

    Location: Dallas, TX

    THE CLIENT

    Our client is a leading law firm specializing in insurance defense and committed to providing exceptional legal representation to clients across a range of industries. Headquartered in Denver, this mid-sized firm has offices across the nation and is expanding strategically in order to better meet the needs of their growing clientele.

    THE POSITION

    The firm is currently seeking an Insurance Defense Associate for the Denver office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance defense litigation, with a proven track record of successfully handling cases from inception through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, representing clients in a variety of matters related to insurance claims and coverage disputes.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, and liability claims.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies and assess potential outcomes.
    • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
    • Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to provide updates, negotiate settlements, and resolve disputes.
    • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure timely and efficient case management.
    • Stay abreast of developments in insurance law, regulations, and industry trends.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the Texas bar and in good standing.
    • 5+ years litigation experience.
    • Exposure to or interest in insurance defense litigation.
