In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing complex electrical and robotic systems with requirements driven by sound project management practices.
Job Responsibilities & RequirementsRESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, develop, evaluate and support automated industrial machinery products with focus on New Product Development (NPD) in the Component Manufacturing (CM) and off-site construction industry with minimal supervisionLead team members through the planning, development, and deployment of complex electrical architectures with a high level of integrated automationGenerate electrical project execution artifacts of small to large scale deployments (i.e.
requirements reviews, design reviews, test readiness reviews, verification reviews, etc.)Conduct troubleshooting and root cause/corrective actionsDesign, integrate, and test electrical parts, enclosures, and assemblies using industry best practicesDesign, integrate, test and debug NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliant electrical control panels, parts and assemblies using industry best practicesDesign, integrate, test and debug industrial PLCs, HMIs, and electrical controls systemsDesign, integrate, test, industrial electro-mechanical and robotic systemsWork with Software Developers and Systems Engineers to generate system logic and controls (software development experience will be a significant advantage)Develop and maintain project documentation (i.e.
system requirements, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, test plans, project notes, etc.)Ensure compliance with MiTek engineering procedures, guidelines, industry standards and governmental regulations applicable to industrial machinery without supervisionPerform engineering analysis and calculations where applicableEnter new/update existing data in MRP/ERP system without supervisionSupport Manufacturing, Marketing & Sales, Purchasing, Installation, and Customer Service Organizations throughout a product's lifecycleReview/stay current with industry trends & emerging technologiesManage individual tasking while working with other electrical / robotic engineers through project execution with minimal oversightSome travel required (up to 25% during critical on-site activities)Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university and 4+ years of electrical engineering design experienceProficiency with power distribution, circuit breakers, overcurrent protection, and terminal blocksProficiency with PLC's, HMI's, motor controllers, VFDs, servos, and sensorsProficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and AutoDesk VaultProficiency in electrical symbols with experience in circuit analysisRobotics experience preferredExperience in the utilization of vision systemsAbility to rapidly diagnose and troubleshoot automated systemsAbility to work individually and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamDemonstrated ability to work well under pressure & deadlinesStrong planning, organizational, and decision-making skillsStrong communication skills to interact frequently with stakeholdersProficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
