    Title: Controls Engineer

    Shift: 3rd

    Position Responsibilities :
    • Develops strategies for plant layout modifications and production process improvements.
    • Adjusts programming for PLCs, HMIs, robots, vision cameras, torque tools, and plant automation, often while guiding the Maintenance team.
    • Tackles process and hardware issues.
    • Collaborates with others to troubleshoot problems and implement solutions.
    • Provides technical support as necessary.
    • Oversees all aspects of electrical control systems for plant equipment.
    • Installs and supports PLC-based hardware and software.
    • Enhances plant processes and implements upgrades.
    • Ensures adherence to quality and safety standards.
    • Designs fixtures and makes adjustments for production needs.
    • Procures tools and equipment as needed.
    • Manages projects for tool and equipment installation, involving contractors and internal Maintenance team.
    • Addresses ergonomic concerns and applies solutions.
    • Supervises facility upgrades and modifications.
    • Guides Maintenance on equipment modifications or repairs.
    • Manages Skilled Trades for projects and in the absence of the Supervisor.
    • Ensures compliance with relevant legislation and safety regulations.
    • Prioritizes safety, reporting hazards, and safeguarding colleagues and direct reports.
    • Utilizes prescribed personal protective equipment.
    • Performs any other necessary duties as directed.

    Position Requirements :
    • 3 years' Controls Engineering experience in Manufacturing or Automotive Industry
    • Knowledge of JIT manufacturing
    • Proficiency in industrial automation and safety standards
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
    • Expertise in ladder logic, especially Allen-Bradley Systems; PLC5, SLC, ControLogix 5000-5580.
    • Proficient in HMI Design, especially FactoryTalk View, Ignition; WonderWare, LabVIEW
    Educational Requirements :
    • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in related Engineering/Automation field required
