The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a Research Administrator II to provide a wide range of high level clinical & research, academic, personnel, financial, operational support and analysis to the Psychology Division.

In this role it is important to maintains a high level of confidentiality. Independently prioritize task in accordance with the needs and priorities of the Division.

In this role you will be responsible for duties related to:


  • Division Administration
  • Grants Management
  • Travel Processing and Purchasing
  • Accounts Payable & Reconciliation
  • Meetings & Special Events
  • Other general administrative needs

Pay Range:
$ $60.57 hourly.


Qualifications:


  • BA or BS in relevant field and at least five years of work experience.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
  • Knowledge of Federal grant submission procedures and of UCLA grant and contract management systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of University personnel, finance and purchasing systems; also travel, accounts payable.
  • Excellent knowledge of English; skill in editing for spelling, syntax and grammar, and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience in budget management
  • Knowledge and experience in personnel supervision. Familiarity with UCLA IRB submission and review procedures.
  • Ability to multitask and keep up with deadlines and priorities on multiple projects.
  • Skill in setting priorities and analyzing the relative importance of multiple projects and tasks.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with faculty, staff, administration, research participants, students, vendors, and others affiliated with the Division.
  • Discretion in handling confidential materials.
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and rapidly, using sound judgment and personal initiative to deal with problems and competing requests for service.
  • Ability to maintain professional manner in conducting office business
