The city of North Madison, OH is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Specialist in City Cleaning and Maintenance (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

As a municipal service provider with over 30 employees and a modern fleet of vehicles, machinery, and equipment, the City's Construction Yard is responsible for tasks in the areas of road and path maintenance, maintenance of city buildings, and green and open space maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

Emptying street trash cans, cleaning container sites, and removing illegal waste deposits
Maintaining and cleaning relevant city areas such as the city center, marketplace, and train station grounds
Performing manual and mechanical street cleaning during and outside of regular working hours, including weekly market events and public gatherings
Being available for oncall and weekend shifts (oncall staff must report to the designated location within 30 minutes of activation/alarm)

Your profile:

Technical and manual skills
Ability to handle physical demands and maintain good health
Teamoriented and reliable
Flexibility to work outside of regular working hours for all tasks of the Construction Yard (e.g. special cleaning after events, winter service, oncall duty)
Valid driver's license (Class B/BE, T) and experience operating vehicles
