Introduction:
Chicago Apartment Place, Inc. is a property management company located in the Lakeview area on the north side of Chicago. We are looking for a
Seasonal Leasing & Marketing Agent to join our team for the upcoming rental season.


Summary:

The Leasing & Marketing Agent is responsible for effectively showing and leasing apartments and other listings to prospective tenants while promoting our buildings and representing our Company in a professional manner.

This seasonal position runs approximately from April through September.


Compensation:
Base pay at $15/hour plus rental commissions.


Schedule: 40 hours per week; Monday

  • Friday 128 pm (or similar).

Duties and Responsibilities:


Apartment Tours -

  • Show apartments and other listings to prospective tenants and brokers;
  • Communicate effectively with prospective tenants to find the unit that best fits their needs;
  • Thoroughly answer all questions that may arise from prospective tenants or brokers; and
  • Promote our buildings and our Company in a positive light.

Marketing & Administrative -

  • Distribute marketing flyers throughout our properties;
  • Perform property and unit inspections to make sure they're neat, attractive, and in good repair;
  • Advertise our listings on various marketing platforms and assist with marketing strategies;
  • Communicate effectively with office staff and property managers;
Provide other administrative and project support to the leasing and property management team as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Some experience in sales/marketing, or a servicerelated industry;
  • Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable;
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing;
  • Detailoriented and organized;
  • Punctual with good time management skills;
  • Familiarity with the various Chicago neighborhoods and what they have to offer; and
  • Proficient with the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.

Work Environment:


  • Tours, inspections, and flyers take place at the various properties under our management which are located across various Chicago neighborhoods.
  • Administrative work takes place in our office and is not remote.
  • Open loft office environment where problemsolving takes place on a regular basis in collaboration with other departments. Noise levels may range from moderate to loud.

Job/Physical Requirements:


  • Must have a reliable vehicle for use during all work hours, valid driver's license, auto insurance and a cell phone;
  • Be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods while performing property inspections, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants;
  • Be able to sit for prolonged periods while working in the office;
  • Ability to travel between properties during various weather conditions, find street parking, go up and down stairs, and walk through sites where repair or construction work may be taking place;
  • Must be able to operate all office equipment including computers, printers, key cutting machine, and others as needed;
  • Neat, clean, and professional throughout the workday including whenever on any of the properties under management, while representing the company, and at company events; and
  • Must treat all persons with integrity, kindness, and respect.
