Description

Dispatch Operator

Our client is seeking a Dispatch Operator to join their team and provide high-quality dispatching of field services officers to respond to a wide variety of calls for service from rescues and emergencies to animal pick-ups and complaints. Additionally, the Dispatch Operator will assist clients in a professional and courteous manner and provide accurate information to general public inquiries.

The qualified candidate will have their high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 1 year clerical/admin and phone/call center experience, and possess strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.

Both full-time and part-time shifts are available. Apply today to be immediately considered.

Full-time, Monday to Friday (Full-time and part-time shifts available)

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$17 to $21 an hour

Responsibilities

Receive emergency and non-emergency calls for service needs.
Prioritize incoming calls and dispatch appropriate officers for follow up.
Relay pertinent information in a factual and concise manner.
Log service calls into the database accurately.
Assist with timely issuance of correspondence to the public including but not limited to field services letters and lost & found concerns.
Produce and maintain accurate statistics and reports.
Assist general public with lost and found animals.
Participate in meetings with members of the field services department.
Participate and support events and seminars.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 1 year of clerical/admin and phone/call center experience required.
Proficient with using computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) and customer service skills.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and data entry skills.
Excellent problem-solving, active listening, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and remain calm.
Motivated, hardworking, dependable.
