Dental Assistant Job-Type:
Full-Time hour shifts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
Dental Assistant Requirements:
- Current CPR and First aid certification
- Full COVID19 vaccination and boosted (or) Valid, documented exemption
- Bilingual: Fluent in English _and _Spanish
- Active RDA license (preferred but not necessary)
- Radiology / X-Ray license (required)
- At least 2 years of chairside dental assisting experience (general dentistry preferred)
- Previously held a lead dental assisting position/ can take on a lead role (preferred)
- Topnotch communication skills
- Strong computer skills
- Current driver's license comfortable driving a small van clean driving record
Dental Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assist dentist and hygienist with common dental procedures such as (fillings, crown preparations, crown seats, extractions, dentures, and root canals)
- Chairside assisting
- Must be able to take freehand Xrays
- Full COVID19 vaccination with booster (or) Valid, documented exemption
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed
- Keep the sterilization room clean and wellstocked
- Maintain autoclaves and units
- Provide compassion and understanding to all patients
- Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 40lbs
- Must be comfortable driving between senior living facilities to see patients
- Coordinate accepted treatment and lab cases
- Maintain an office that is stocked with supplies and products needed to make the days run seamlessly
- Travel with the dental team to each treating location helping to load and unload the van, driving when necessary
- Be familiar with compliance tasks and willing to do them weekly
- Strong sense of ownership
- Other duties as assigned
