Duties:


  • Produce threat documents or portions of documents as well as briefings/instruction on assigned areas.
  • Serve as directorate Intelligence Threat Analyst for Doctrine, Operations, and Tactics.
  • Perform a wide range of intelligence analytical tasks associated with analysis and production of all source intelligence data and reports for current and projected threats to the Operational Environment (OE).
  • Conduct analysis with an aim of incorporating applicable information into Opposing Forces Operations and Tactics manuals, papers, lesson plans, lessons learned and briefings.
  • Train leaders and soldiers on the Operational Environment and Opposing Force concept, doctrine, operations and tactics.
  • Establish and maintain persontoperson work relationships at conferences, In-Progress Reviews, and decision forums in order to ensure adequate policy coordination, compatibility of effort, and achievement of plans and activities.

Conditions of Employment:


  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI) based on a Tier 5 (or equivalent) investigation.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts and other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and overtime.
  • May require Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 20% of the time.

  • To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.

Specialized experience is defined as:
1. Experience with Intelligence operations such as intelligence collection, analysis, and/or reporting. AND 2. Experience with operational intelligence support requirements.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-09).


  • Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligencerelated research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.

This experience should demonstrate:

Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.

Combination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.

Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.

Add the two percentages.
