- Maintains close coordination with technical experts from federal, state, tribal, and local resource agencies, Reclamation, and other organizations from the academic and private sectors, in order to incorporate widely varying perspectives into the overall objectives of the programs.
- Serves as the primary coordinator of the title transfer program and as the lead representative on agreements, negotiations and related issues.
- As deputy to the Area Manager, serves as a second level supervisor and shares in the personnel administration activities of the Area Office.
- Provides technical and administrative advice and guidance to staff.
- Serves as a key advisor to and representative for the Area Manager and Regional Director.

Duties
Serves as one of two deputies to the Area Manager of the Klamath Basin Area Office, assigned continuing responsibility for managing a major part of KBAO programs.
Assists the Area Manager in the day-to-day management of program operations that involve highly sensitive and complex interagency and intergovernmental activities.
Provides managerial and program coordination assistance to the Area Manager and Division Chiefs.Provides oversight and direction to teams consisting of Federal employees, water user groups, other government entities and environmental groups, established to develop and perform implementation strategies.
