This position is responsible for providing administrative support for Focus Features' Executive Vice President, Business Affairs, who oversees all business and legal affairs for the company.
This position will work in a fun and fast-paced environment that will provide great exposure to the business and legal side of the studio that produced and/or distributed such films as Phantom Thread, Brokeback Mountain, Lost in Translation, BlacKkKlansman, Moonrise Kingdom and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with administrative duties, including preparation of meeting materials, answering phones, filing, photocopying, and messengering correspondence and documents
- Process payments and coordinate tax and employment documentation required in connection with development projects and acquisitions
- Schedule meetings and maintain calendar
- Manage travel arrangements and complete expense reports
- Organize and maintain physical and digital files
- Maintain continual communication with attorneys, business affairs staff, production, and other client groups to ascertain accurate development and production information
- Interact and maintain relationships with members of other business units at Universal, as well as with third parties including agencies and law firms
- Conduct research as directed and prepare charts and other documentation as requested
- Maintain project status report
- Perform other administrative tasks required by the department
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Proficiency and demonstrated ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be willing to be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
Desired Characteristics:
- Prior legal or business affairs and/or administrative assistant experience a plus
- Highly organized and excellent follow through skills
- Ability to perform routine work with excellent accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to communicate with poise and professionalism with all levels of executives, management, and staff
- Trustworthy with sensitive and/or confidential information
Additional Requirements:
Hybrid:
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
Salary range:
$47,500-$60,000
