Health Unit CoordinatorThe Health Unit Coordinator facilitates unit operations and assists with all clerical duties on the patient unit, including greeting patients and visitors as they arrive.
Coordinates the communication between nursing staff, physicians, other departments, professional staff, patients, and families relating to patient care.
Come join our 35 bed Med/Surgical unit, we are a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team who provides high quality, compassionate care to complex surgical and medical patients.
Our Med/Surgical unit is excellent opportunity to work as a team to provide the best care for our patients that can include, but not limited to general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ENT and plastics as well as general medical patients.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a health care setting
- Keyboard skills
- Exceptional Customer Service skills
- Acquires and maintains skills necessary for role
- Principles of effective communication
- Knowledge of data entry systems
- Ability to perform effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
- Effective organizational skills
Preferred:
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology
Must be available the first week of employment for HUC orientations that takes place Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM
