- Direct management of complex claims.
- Establish expense and/or indemnity payments when appropriate.
- Work towards resolving and closing all claim files.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure efficient management of cash flow needs for claim payments.
- Regularly report to and update reinsurers on claim developments.
- Participate in the refinement of claims operations, including the development of methods to assist in analytics.
- Oversee the receipt and acknowledgment of notice of claims, as needed, in conjunction with Claims Attorneys and Claims Administrative Assistant.
- Participate in the management of First Notice of Loss processes.
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiencies and develop methods to enhance analytics.
- Participate in the yearly review of panel counsel performance and collaborate with support staff to address any billing or compliance issues during annual reviews.
- Adjust expense and indemnity reserves when necessary.
- Manage invoicing from third parties engaged to assist in the administration of claims, including law firms, adjusters, and consultants.
- Prepare appropriate documentation of claim payments.

Location: Tampa, FL
Reports to: Vice President - Claims
Basic Function: Our client is seeking a Senior Claims Attorney to support its claims operations and oversee the administration of claim notices, establishment and management of claim reserves, investigation, administration, and resolution of complex claims. The Senior Claims Attorney will also be responsible for reporting claims to our client's reinsurers. The primary lines of business are Excess Casualty, with potential involvement in subsets of D&O, Fidelity, and Cyber.
