Description
What do CTAs actually do?
Technical assistants work in all natural science fields and support research and development at a high technical level. They use high-tech analysis equipment and the latest methods for determining substances and examining soil, air, and food samples.

CTAs (Chemical-Technical Assistants) deal with the analysis of various substances, especially water, air, and soil. They play a major role in environmental analysis. Positions can be found in analytical laboratories, government trade supervisory offices, private and public laboratories and institutes.

Technical assistants are in high demand on the job market. The training lasts 2 years, with a mandatory internship in companies, institutes, and laboratories during the second year. Approximately half of the 24 to 28 hours of instruction per week is dedicated to practical work. Upon request, a supplementary course can be taken to obtain a technical college entrance qualification. Additionally, there is also the possibility to qualify for a bachelor's degree.

Applications are accepted at any time. We start twice a year (August and February).
