The CC&TS team oversees compliance activities related to a portfolio of more than 400 utility-scale renewable and non-renewable contracts and manages regular compliance events, the administration of the Western Renewable Energy Generation Information System (WREGIS), an energy contract tracking database, and the management of Renewable Energy Credit (REC) transactions to ensure the company's compliance with its renewable energy targets.

A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright

  • Supports energy procurement activities through Requests for Offer (RFOs) for various energy resources, including renewable resources organizes bidders' conferences, assists in developing presentation to management, evaluates cures for deficient bids and provides recommendations on bid eligibility
  • Contract obligations review works with contract managers to verify conditions precedent (interconnection documents, renewable qualification, telemetry testing, collateral, payment setup, etc.) are met for new projects coming online
  • Manages energy contract databases, supports data requests and implements process improvements to data management processes
  • Administers contract compliance programs
  • Insurance verification manages process for tracking and evaluating insurance certificates and provides recommendations to management when dealing with deficient certificates
  • Develops new contract compliance programs to support achievement of business objectives
  • Data validation and data mining identifies data duplication, corrects erroneous user input, improves data integrity
  • Prepares reports and present complex technical information to a wide audience

The essentials

  • Experience with data analysis, contract management, and/or energy markets

The preferred

  • Bachelor's or higher level degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering, or other quantitative related fields.
  • Strong ethics, influence and negotiation, leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively multitask and enthusiastically engage in continuous learning.
  • Experience building reports to track, analyze and maintain the accuracy and integrity of large amounts of data using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint and database systems.
  • Experience with advanced Excel functions.
  • Experience with MS PowerBI business analytical tool.
  • Experience in energy markets or working in a utility environment.
  • Experience supporting competitive Request for Offers (RFOs)
  • Experience developing, validating, and presenting financial statistics and models.
  • Experience evaluating and analyzing data to determine trends.

You should know

  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
  • Reporting schedule for this role is currently one day in the office per week, with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
