Job DescriptionReal Estate Accounting Manager - Philadelphia - Old City $150-170k
National commercial office real estate/property management group. Hybrid schedule
The Real Estate Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for the overall financial management of the company's real estate portfolio, including the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures, the management of the accounting staff, and the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of real estate accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in a corporate environment. In addition, the candidate will have experience in financial reporting and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for the real estate portfolio
Manage the accounting staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
Prepare financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
Oversee the budgeting process for the real estate portfolio
Comply with all applicable accounting and financial regulations
Represent the company to external auditors and regulators
Develop and maintain financial reporting systems and processes
Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification
5+ years of experience in real estate accounting
Strong understanding of real estate accounting principles and practices
Experience in a corporate accounting environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in financial reporting and analysis
