Overview:
Woodland Montessori School provides high-quality care for children aged 18 months - 5 years old on Madison's south side.
For 50 years Woodland has been a leader in early childhood education by providing competitive wages and benefits for its staff.
Woodland is launching a Capital Campaign to completely overhaul the current school building, which will allow us to stay invested and grow our partnerships in the south side of Madison.
We are seeking a Capital Campaign Project Coordinator to work closely with the Head of School, Capital Campaign Committee, and the Board of Directors in carrying out a broad-based fundraising plan targeting individuals, corporations, and foundations to support this initiative.
This person will be the super glue for our campaign, keeping this critical project on track.Responsibilities include:
- Alongside the Head of School and Capital Campaign Committee, help with campaign strategy development
- Support and contribute actively to incorporating our diversity, equity, and inclusion ideals throughout the campaign process
- Support Woodland leadership by managing campaign prospect lists, including research and tracking
- Help train and manage campaign volunteers
- Schedule, support, and attend Capital Campaign Committee meetings
- Schedule, support, and attend donor meetings
- Along with WMS CFO and Treasurer, manage the campaign budget
- Track gifts and pledges
- Oversee acknowledgement of all campaign gifts and pledges
- Prepare pledge payment reminders and pledge agreements
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Head of School and the Capital Campaign Committee
- Collaborate with WMS staff and volunteers to develop capital campaign print, web, and social media communications materials
- Plan and implement cultivation and recognition events
- Alongside Capital Campaign Committee, develop and oversee targeted cultivation plans (including individual donors as well as applicable grants and foundations)
- Work with the Head of School and members of the Capital Campaign Committee and Board to cultivate prospects
- Refine and execute solicitation strategies
- Prepare and provide support to staff, board, and volunteers for solicitations (e.g. talking points, assembling presentations + materials, scheduling meetings)
- Participate in solicitations, take and retain notes, adding to donor files
- Implement donor acknowledgement and recognition, as appropriate
