- Do you like 3 day weekends half the year? Highway Operator I employees enjoy 4 10 hour days (6am4pm) from April
- October and then move to 8 hour days (7am3pm) for the winter until mid April. (Will need to be on call for snow plowing in winter.)

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Safely and efficiently operates trucks and other equipment according to departmental operations and follows all safety procedures associated with the equipment.
- Performs a variety of manual labor as needed and does so with little supervision, at times, on busy roadways and in all weather seasons.
- Performs daily walk around inspections and routine equipment maintenance on assigned Highway Department equipment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATION:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Related municipal, construction, or snow removal experience preferred.
- Current valid Wisconsin driver license, Class A Commercial Drivers License with Tanker Endorsement, and no vehicle restriction. A Class B Commercial Drivers License may be considered, but must obtain Class A license within six months of hire.

Pay:
$ $27.49 per hour
