Rockhurst University is seeking applications for a part-time Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country Coach. POSITION SUMMARY:

The assistant track and field and cross country coach will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the track and field and cross country team.

This is a part-time, 10 month position. This position has dual reporting to both the Head Cross Country Coach and the Head Track and Field Coach.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country Coach

Day to Day coaching (practice, meets, travel)

Assist with planning and organizing the cross country program, including scheduling and coaching.

Help the head coach recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.

Plan and implement instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of student-athletes, while instilling values such as, sportsmanship, leadership, and personal wellness.

Demonstrate the ability to relate to, and motivate, student-athletes and to work with a variety of university staff, alumni, and the outside community.

Commitment to compliance and knowledge of NCAA and GLVC rules.

Promote the mission of the Athletic Department and Rockhurst University

Must have excellent leadership and communication skills.

Bachelor's Degree

2+ years coaching experience.
