To ensure that all food and beverage service for functions in the banquet department of the resort are served on time.


Responsibilities:

Follow Banquet Event Orders

Set up Breaks on rolling carts

Prepare Coffee, Hot Water, Juices

Set up Fruit, Bread, etc.

Set up Sodas, Water, etc.


Ensures attractiveness of food and beverage displays by using color overlays, plants, stands, to get eye appeal and merchandise effect.

Ensures breaks are set 15 minutes prior to scheduled time

Meet with person in charge before and after their functions

Maintains breaks always full with constant replenishments

Maintains trays clean at all times

Will break down AM Break and set up PM Break

Will rotate special items with groups staying over 2 days

Groups staying 4 or more days we'll add different items at PM Break

Using, cleaning and maintaining department equipment

Breaking down Break stations

Store all props and items used on Breaks

Ensure assembling area is clear and clean

When slow will assume same responsibilities as a Houseman

Promote Restaurants, Golf, Tennis and other facilities

To work efficiently at peak times

Good communication skills

Any and all reasonable requests of management


Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in a event center, conference center or hotel banquet is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Excellent customer service practices Adherence to departmental and property standards and procedures
  • Teamwork: Works efficiently and effectively as member of a team; communicates and cooperates with banquet & property staff
