Data Analyst

Strategic Marketing Consulting Team
This position offers a unique opportunity to touch all facets of marketing campaigns and data analysis.

This involves deep understanding of client provided data, strong attention to accuracy, ability to leverage statistical methods for campaign performance, concise interpretation, and a genuine sense of curiosity and desire to improve results for clients.


Responsibilities:


  • Collect, clean, and transform raw data from various sources, primarily using SAS and SQL
  • Perform quality assurance and control checks on lists generated
  • Develop and implement code for process flow, improvement, and automation
  • Utilize statistical methods to analyze campaign results and extract actionable insights
  • Summarize results into userfriendly presentations by translating highly technical approaches to those without a background in mathematics
  • Communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with senior team members to design and execute marketing tests
  • Provide tactical client support, including:
  • Customer profiling
  • Segmentation
  • Customer lifetime value analysis
  • Predictive modeling
  • Longitudinal trend analysis
  • Assume other responsibilities as requested

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in statistics, mathematics or other relevant quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • Superior analytic skills with the ability to distill data into relevant customer insights
  • Experience with statistical language programming, SAS knowledge preferred, Python a plus
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to QC production processes and ad hoc requests
  • Orientation towards problem solving
  • Assertive personality with a solid work ethic and initiative, requiring mínimal direction
  • High energy and drive, coupled with the resourcefulness and natural curiosity
  • Ability to understand the nature of the task rather than the words of the task, to best serve a client's objectives
  • Knowledge and/or applied experience in multivariate statistics including regression techniques, hypothesis testing, and design of experiments
  • Selfmotivated, with drive to complete assignments efficiently, exceed expectations and grow own career
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey results, explain issues, drive resolution, and develop requirements with nontechnical internal and external clients
  • Proficiency with standard office productivity software including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Must be authorized to work in the US
