As part of several job openings of ours in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, GovStaff is seeking an experienced Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager to serve as Systems Administrator and Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) under a major IT support contract for the Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC).

Minimum Secret Security Clearance

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree and 9 years' experience, Associate's Degree and 11 years' experience, or combination of 13 years which may include education/specialized training/certifications and/or experience.
Must possess current Security+ certification (or equivalent DOD Directive IAT II) and at least (1) relevant Computing Environment certification (can be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Experience in Enterprise level MCM systems administration including troubleshooting and monitoring
Experience in resolving complex issues associated with configuration management. resource sharing and basic networking troubleshooting and problem identification.
Understanding and/or experience with vulnerability management and mitigation practices
Experience developing scripts, and scripting languages, including one or more of Bash, Powershell, Python, Ruby, and/or Perl.
Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning and bottleneck resolution,
Experience managing or working with Windows Server and hybrid environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.

Engineering, configuration, and troubleshooting the MCM services, including:
◦ Application Deployment ◦ Deployment package creation and troubleshooting ◦ Developing and implementing administrative and security policies ◦ Monitoring and evaluating systems performance and availability ◦ Tier II/III support for issues related to MCM 2. Applying expertise in related integrating technologies, including: ◦ Group Policy ◦ Scripting ◦ Vulnerability patching ◦ Secure Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance/hardening 3. Applying expertise in enterprise Systems Administration to secure environments including ◦ Windows Server 2019 ◦ Backup and Storage ◦ Active Directory ◦ Account management ◦ Access control management ◦ Domain configuration If the above position does not meet your qualifications, but the APG location is of interest, please feel free to visit our GovStaff Website for additional APG openings.
