Responsibilities:


As an
Outside Plant Fielder/Inspector, you are responsible for performing the daily QC responsibilities associated with the establishment and monitoring of defined processes required in the delivery and execution of all project activities.

In addition, you will:

  • Oversee & maintain daily presence with buried fiber optic construction crews
  • Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, diagrams and schematics for fiber construction
  • Inspect construction placement according to construction drawings
  • Make field level decisions related to construction contractor questions and roadblocks.
  • Prepare redlined asbuilts according to placed footage, access point locations & sequentials.

Qualifications:

Desired Skills:


  • Understanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant required
  • Extensive knowledge with Underground Construction and Design preferred
  • Excellent communication for daily interaction with various teams
  • Above average penmanship for handdrawn field notes
  • You are computer literate, knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Possess strong analytical and/or problemsolving skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college preferred, but not required
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Qualify on preemployment screening, including nonnegligent driving record
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Willing to be trained and adapt to changing industry trends
- continue education for Engineering design and best practices


Work Environment:


  • Work schedule to match hours of our customer and meet deadlines
  • Requires outdoor site visits in various weather conditions + remote work
  • Dress appropriately and meet safety standards while onsite
