What will you do in this role?

  • Generate appropriate bills of lading and verifying accuracy for all shipments
  • Responsible for overseeing the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to include maintaining the daily shipping and receiving logs
  • Maintain a clear dock, staging and work area, and assisting material handlers with loading and unloading trucks as needed
  • Work closely with business teams to prioritize and expedite orders each month
  • Work with carriers to schedule pickups/drop offs and coordinate freight quotes for truck load routing and achieving best rates
  • Set up inventory locations for optimal use of warehouse inventory space and verify inventory accuracy reports with employees responsible for audit and cycle counting

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • H.S. Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 13 years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with international shipping a plus
  • Experience reading and generating bills of lading
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 not required but a plus
  • 12 years of fork truck experience

Required

  • High School/GED or better
