    Job Description

    As a Staff Accountant, you will play a vital role in the financial operations of the organization. You will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including recording financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with financial data will be essential for success in this role.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Financial Recordkeeping:
      • Record financial transactions by entering account information into the accounting software.
      • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
      • Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    2. Financial Reporting:
      • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
      • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
      • Provide variance analysis and explanations for financial performance compared to budget and forecasts.
    3. Compliance and Regulation:
      • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
      • Assist in the preparation of documentation for audits and regulatory filings.
      • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.
    4. Financial Analysis:
      • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management.
      • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial analysis and support.
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
    5. Collaboration and Communication:
      • Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and management, to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
      • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address inquiries and provide financial information as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred.
    • 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
