    Description

    Salary: $18.00- $20.50


    SUMMARY

    Monitors each aisle in area of responsibility for damage and spillage. Removes damaged cases to the damage area. Any spillage will be mopped thoroughly, garbage cans are to be emptied as necessary. Responsible to stay on the floor until all selecting is done and assigned area as properly cleaned.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Monitor each aisle in area of responsibility for damage and spillage.

    Remove damaged cases to damaged area.

    If the case itself is damaged and not the product, it will be taped and put back in working slot.

    Any spillage will be mopped thoroughly, which includes removing pallet from slot so it also can be mopped. This includes any spillage or unsanitary condition anywhere within assigned area.

    Empty garbage as needed.

    All equipment will be locked in supply room at the end of the shift. Mop buckets and garbage will be emptied and rinsed out.

    All cardboard will be placed in baler.

    All plastic and other garbage will be placed in compactor.

    All Janitors will stay on the floor until all selecting is done and assigned area is properly cleaned.


    Adhere to all safety policies, procedures and best practices while performing tasks in a manner that promotes safety at all times.


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Must be at least 18 years of age

    Ability to work with approved cleaning chemicals

    Satisfactory performance reviews


    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Bending Constant 5-8 Hours
    Grasping/Finger Movement & Dexterity- Left/Right Hands Constant 5-8 Hours
    Lifting Occasional 1-3 Hours up to 25lbs


    OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Warehouse environment

    Constant use of moving equipment

    Constant work performed around people

    Occasional work performed in wet conditions

    Continuous reaching while sweeping/mopping


    Must be able to frequently reach for and lift products at waist level, above shoulder level and below waist level.

    Occasional lifting of up to 120 pounds (130 pounds in the General Merchandise Warehouse) as a team lift.

    Occasional overhead lifting up to 60 pounds

    Constant use of manual dexterity

    Constant use of audio acuity and visual acuity

    The disclosed compensation range for this position is applicable within the state the position resides.

    The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

    The compensation range is one component of Price Chopper/Market 32 and Northeast Shared Services' total compensation and benefits package, which includes, 401(k), 401(k) match, paid time off, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
