We are on the lookout for a seasoned User Experience Strategist who is passionate about diving deep into user research with a focus on analysis, synthesis, advocacy, and strategy. This role will join a burgeoning team of 5 designers, working in close collaboration with colleagues focused on design research and product design. This role is ideal for someone who sees the bigger picture and understands the intricacies of user experience beyond mere data points. Your expertise will be pivotal in guiding both our product development and user onboarding strategies, ensuring a seamless and engaging user journey from the first interaction.
You Will:
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize user research goals.
* Develop research plans that align with business objectives and the fast paced nature of our startup environment.
* Partner with design researchers to collect original research according to plan.
* Lead the charge in the critical research phases of analysis and synthesis to unearth profound insights about our products, services, and users.
* Transform complex research findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations, becoming a key advocate for user needs across the organization.
* Identify opportunities to integrate user research into product development cycles and drive the adoption of user-centered design principles across the organization.
* Work hand in hand with product teams, influencing not just product design and development but also strategizing effective user onboarding experiences.
* Employ a comprehensive toolkit of qualitative and quantitative research methods to address diverse research questions and business challenges.
* Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, bringing together designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align on user-centered strategies.
* Develop and present compelling narratives that communicate research insights to a wide array of audiences within the company, driving informed decision-making and strategic planning.
* Create and manage a dynamic user research roadmap, prioritizing research initiatives that deliver the most significant impact on our strategic goals and user experience.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in UX research or a related field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in analysis, synthesis, advocacy, and strategic thinking.
* Proficiency in a wide array of research methodologies, capable of crafting tailored research approaches to shed light on complex user behaviors and needs.
* Exceptional analytical and strategic skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
* Outstanding communication, storytelling, and presentation abilities, adept at inspiring action and driving strategic decisions based on research findings.
* A collaborative spirit, with a proven track record of working across disciplines to weave user insights into the fabric of product development and strategy.
* E-commerce specific experience or knowledge is a huge plus.
* Conversational design experience or knowledge is also a huge plus.
