- Position will require the generation of test procedures for the validation and verification of software components to analyze requirements for integration and/or testability issues.
- Ability to support test readiness reviews, formal system verification of the system requirements and final test reports.
- Recognizes and adopts best practices in documentation, testing and efficient use of resources.
- Utilizes basic administration and configuration of RedHat Enterprise Linux in order to resolve configuration issues and integrate Red Hat Linux systems with other existing environments.
- Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Experience with software development methodologies and life cycles; specifications and testing
- Experience with implementing automated test tools.
- Experience in testing-to-requirements and an understanding how to build tests.
- Experience in product deployment and testing for releases
- Experience with RedHat Linux
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Experience in developing tests scripts.
- Experience with the Atlassian software development and test toolset
- Experience in Satellite Ground Station – Command and Control applications and software integration and troubleshooting experience of complex, multi-application systems, as well as Satellite Mission Planning Software.
- Communicates effectively with management, peers, and the customer.
- Experience in planning and coordinating with the customer for product.
- Displays excellent teamwork skills with the ability to lead a team in a test lab environment.

Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Lead Integration and Test Software Engineer in Melbourne, FL to support our commercial software product and associated application teams. This position will be responsible for leading a team performing system level software integration and test (I&T) activities for Satellite Ground Station Command and Control applications ensuring system compatibility to meet program technical, schedule and cost objectives. This includes the test and integration of COTS-based systems from the system design phase through development, documentation, installation and commissioning of the completed system.
