- Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain high-quality candidates, utilizing a variety of recruitment channels and methods.
- Lead the recruitment process from job posting to offer acceptance, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop job descriptions and requirements tailored to specific roles.
- Utilize data-driven approaches to analyze recruitment metrics, track key performance indicators, and optimize recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition, incorporating innovative techniques to enhance candidate experience and employer branding.
- Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, vendors, and partners to supplement internal recruitment efforts as needed.
- Develop a university and trade school relations program.
- Develop and administer compensation programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct compensation benchmarking and analysis to evaluate the competitiveness of salary and incentive structures, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary.
- Collaborate with HR business partners and finance to develop and manage annual budget allocations for compensation.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on compensation-related matters, including salary negotiations, job evaluations, and incentive programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing compensation, staying updated on changes and recommending policy revisions as needed.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to recruitment and compensation, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the organization, integrating these principles into talent acquisition and compensation practices.
- Collaborate with HR leadership to develop and implement strategies for succession planning, career development, and talent retention.
- Serve as a People Leader with supervisory responsibilities.
- Develop, mentor, and coach team members as they work to achieve performance goals by utilizing leadership routines such as weekly check-ins, monthly team meetings, quarterly skills coaching and annual reviews.
- Identify effective goals and objectives for the team and implement a plan to execute them.
- Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of all federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements related to employee compensation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Capability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, industrial relations, or related field is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition, total rewards, or related field is required.
- SHRM-CP and/or PHR is preferred.
