    Description

    Platinum Recruiting is seeking a Mig Welder II with Fit-Up Experience for a premier client in Chattanooga. This is a First Shift position Monday-Thursday 7AM-3:30PM . Overtime as needed. Pay Range $19-24 p/hour DOE.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Use of critical measuring equipment. (Comb. Squares, Framing Squares, Measuring Tape etc.)
    • Use of Jib Cranes, Overhead Cranes and Forklift's to load or unload material.
    • Fixture Set-up/ Changeover
    • Identifying and addressing quality issues.
    • Interpret Prints (weld types and sizes + part layout)
    • Daily housekeeping of assigned area.
    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
    • Previous experience in MIG Welding. Pass KGM Weld Bend Test
    • Pass KGM Written welding test.
    • Proper use of a cutting torch.
    • Ability to use and understand Weld Size Gages.
    • Ability to change weld wire and maintenance wire feeder if needed.
    • Ability to properly clean surface for welds.
    PHYSIAL REQUIREMENTS:
    • Regular reaching with arms extended.
    • Bending to pick up and place parts on the floor.
    • Occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.
    • Pulling suspended loads by hand during use of jib crane.
    • Regular twisting and turning at the waste.
