Description

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

CityBridge Education's vision for the nation's capital is to be the
first city-level proof point for an excellent, equitable education system. Since its inception, the Washington, DC-based nonprofit has incubated the people, ideas, and conversations needed for equity-driven innovation in DC's public schools, supporting scores of successful education entrepreneurs, schools, and ventures, largely led by leaders of color.

In response to the pandemic, CityBridge incubated a highly successful initiative—
CityTutor DC—to catalyze tutoring for thousands of students in DC, improving student well-being, accelerating academic performance, and enhancing talent systems in schools.

As a result, today, over 15,000 students in DCPS and public charter schools and 10+ community organizations are receiving high-impact tutoring from thousands of local tutors.

Fueled by its success and continued demand, CityTutor DC is launching as an independent nonprofit this summer.
