    Description


    The Accounting Manager will help lead the accounting and finance function for Whisker and work closely with the Assistant Controller and other cross-functional teams to provide timely and accurate financial reporting.

    The Accounting Manager will be responsible for a clean balance sheet and accurate income statement.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.

    Manages and oversees the daily operations of the departmentManages and analyzes balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reportsPrepares account reconciliations to ensure a clean balance sheetOversees the Accounts Payable and vendor payment processManages cashflows and prepares reportsPrepares and/or reviews journal entriesAssists with financial audits and other related auditsEnsures financial security by maintaining and assessing internal controlsWorks to reconcile accounting inaccuracies or imbalancesWill perform additional responsibilities when required

    Leadership Responsibilities

    :

    Directly supervises department Teams and carries out supervisory responsibilities following Whisker policies and applicable laws.

    Responsibilities include interviewing, training, and hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing team issues, and upholding safety and quality guidelines.

    Requirements

    BA/BS degree in Accounting or applicable degree3+ years of experience in accounting with a demonstrated increase in responsibilityStrong knowledge of GAAPExperience with ERP systems to optimize processes and business unit reporting - SAP B1 is a plusStrong analytical skills, organized and detail-orientedTeam player with a "no task is too small" attitude

    Not Required but Nice to HaveCPA and/or tenure in public accounting a plusPrevious leadership experience a plusManufacturing/E-Commerce experience a plus
