    Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller

    to oversee various aspects of financial management and reporting.

    Reporting directly to the Controller, the Assistant Controller will play a pivotal role in managing the monthly close process, controlling expenses, and performing other essential duties within the accounting department.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
    • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve any questions or issues.
    • Manage the receivable and payment process.
    • Develop and implement structured reporting.
    • Analyze spending patterns and trends.
    • Monitor budget adherence and provide financial guidance as needed.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
    • Conduct financial analyses to support strategic decisionmaking.
    • Prepare ad hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management as requested.
    • Maintain and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
    • Stay current on changes in accounting regulations and standards and ensure adherence to GAAP.
    • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff

    Qualifications:
    (required and preferred):

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
    • 5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
