Position Description: Network Runners, Inc. is looking for an IT Specialist to take charge of overseeing the current OUSD (R&E) IT setup, creating a technology roadmap for seamless communication across the Department of Defense. This role involves providing strategic guidance on integrating communication systems and evaluating new technologies to enhance the R&E mission.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Offer technical and system administration support, troubleshooting, and resolving software and system issues.
Work both independently on projects and collaboratively on team efforts.
Assist in developing new IT capabilities to improve efficiency.
Maintain deployed IT systems and ensure system security.
Develop system security documentation for new and existing capabilities.
Identify risks to R&E IT systems and collaborate with stakeholders on solutions.
Interact with customers, providing IT support, training, and troubleshooting.
Stay updated on relevant technologies and contribute to special projects.
Manage R&E asset and inventory programs.
Provide input on program deliverables and cybersecurity protection.
Involve in vulnerability assessment, malware protection, and cyber incident handling.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

Five (5) years' IT experience, with at least two (2) specialized in information technology.
Proficiency in facilitation, change management, and project management.
Knowledge of system designs and configurations.
Highly preferred: experience with Joint Service Provider and executive decision support.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
Military experience may substitute for educational requirements.
