As a Lineman B2 you will build multiphase energized facilities. Experience required is third year second, six months. You will report to the crew Foreman. This position is located in Red Rock, Texas.


What You'll Do:

• Work on utility poles and fixtures on energized situations
• Frame transformer banks, rotate three phase secondary/services and troubleshoot overhead lines
• Complete tree trimming, multimeter operations, using line test equipment, cutouts and reclosures, advanced rigging, line repair with rubber gloves and hot sticks
• Read job prints and built to spec
• Follow safety performance requirements
• Introduction to URD installations, overhead line installation and removal, safety in URD maintenance, voltage regulators, rigging for high voltage and transformer connections
• Complete required company training, including safety training
• Perform Administrative duties as required
• Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership

What You'll Have:

• Minimum 3.5 years in the electrical powerline industry
• All the skills required for a Lineman B
• Understand basic electricity and proper use, care and maintenance of hot sticks
• Pass evaluation of competency before promotion and activity in the Apprenticeship Training Program

Work Environment:

• Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
• All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
• Work includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawling
• Work is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipment
• Working safely requires quick/accurate handeye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

Legal Stuff:

• Pass preemployment, random, postaccident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
• Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify
• Satisfactory results of preemployment background check results
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
