The Opportunity
Our Rapid Diagnostics division currently has an opportunity for a Product Manager, Infectious Disease in Lake Forest, IL.


The Product Manager will take primary responsibility for managing on market products and new product launches across product lifecycle management globally for a Vectorborne disease, Waterborne disease & Oncology franchises.

The Product Manager will be responsible for Strategic thinking and execution to achieve business objectives.


What You'll Work On

Strategy

  • Develop franchise strategy, in close collaboration with other functions and leaders
  • Define and drive future product roadmap to meet growth goals

Alignment

  • Drive and coordinate franchisespecific marketing activities, promotions, and projects with other functions
  • Maintain effective internal alignment on growth goals, messaging and positioning with all relevant functions and internal stakeholders
  • Be the internal champion for customer needs. Drive connectedness with both customers and sales.

Product Management

  • Establish market research needs, commission and execute research as needed
  • Drive segmentation, targeting and positioning through quantitative and qualitative analysis, segmentation tools as well as customer and sales insights
  • Develop and own branding and messaging for competitive advantage
  • Articulate differentiated value propositions for target customer segments
  • Develop global launch plans, articulated by region, and drive them in close collaboration with sales, R&D, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and others
  • Develop and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders and influencers among customers
  • Leverage health economics and evidence building for competitive differentiation and market creation
  • Define clinical studies key outcomes and focus to substantiate value proposition

Marketing Activities

  • Develop, refine and iterate marketing plans to achieve growth goals
  • Drive execution of marketing plans with internal and external partners
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, with materials and collaterals
  • Maintain accurate and current competitive intelligence, preempt competitors and develop appropriate and timely responses

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • 5+ years of business experience in a class III medical device company or equivalent, including product, market or program management experience.
  • A thorough understanding of product and market development with a strong understanding of data development.
  • Strong healthcare business acumen, strategic thinking, commercial focus and customer skills.
  • Exceptional project management skills.
  • Must be adept at handling multiple assignments and accomplish these projects within budgetary guidelines and within agreed upon timelines.
  • Ability to foster collaboration, influence others outside of reporting structure and work collaboratively across a matrix structure.
  • Analytical skills enabling financial modeling, business analysis and progress tracking and visibility.
  • Ability to work with US and International internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to predict, prevent/identify and address obstacles impeding progress.
  • Seasoned judgment acquired through organizational experience and a demonstrated record of achievements in successfully building a business.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; the ability to lead a crossfunctional team.
